Chirimen sansho refers to a dish of dried young sardines that are cooked with Japanese pepper (sansho).
Kamada’s chirimen sansho is made with dried sardines from the Setouchi region and Japanese-grown green sansho pepper and cooked in Kamada Dashi Soy Sauce.
Its gentle flavor and refreshing pungency go well with rice. This is used similarly to shio kombu as a topping for rice.
